She is the best in her unit at handling the new mobile armor. Despite her rough tone, she has a gentle view toward her troops.

Caroline moved to Japan with her father and grew up as a Japanese in an underground city on the outskirts of the capital. (She met Shigeru Sakamoto during this period.) After the Battle of Gatlantis, she decided to attend the Space Defense Academy in order to get away from her strict father.

She is the youngest member of the Hyuga crew, and was the youngest crew member to participate in Yamato‘s first voyage. After serving on the crew of the experimental ship Ginga, she was assigned to the Hyuga for the current voyage as chief radar operator. Toru Hoshina, Yamato‘s security chief, is her husband.
