Yamato 2205 Mecha Guide

Earth Mecha

Space Battleship Yamato (3rd Remodeled Type)

After returning from the High Dimensional World, Yamato underwent her third refit in the formation of the 65th Escort Squadron, which was scheduled for a courtesy visit to the planet Iscandar. The refit was intended to make her the flagship of the intergalactic voyage fleet.

Based on the results of her long voyages, the propulsion system and the hull shape were optimized for ultra-light speed navigation. The ship’s hangar has been extensively refitted to accommodate support ships, and large aircraft landing ramps have been added to the port and starboard sides of the ship. In addition, based on the experience of the Battle of Gatlantis, the area around the base of the superstructure has been strengthened for anti-spaceship defenses. The muzzle of the Wave-Motion Gun was modified to improve firing performance.

pronounced “Aska”

After the abandonment of the Time Fault, this was one of the ships completed by using an unmanned Dreadnought-class that was in the process of construction. It is positioned as a new generation Earth ship and represents the change in policy from an expansionist approach to “optimizing military equipment to match the scale of Earth.”

It was conceived as a high-speed combat supply ship for a fleet capable of long voyages. As a result of Cosmo Reverse research, it is equipped with a wave resonance device that serves as a substantial energy supply function for other ships equipped with Wave Engines.

Its newly developed space projectile, the Wave Barrier Round, enables the deployment of a short-term wave barrier in any area other than the hull of Asuka. It is deployed in the 65th Escort Squadron and serves as the right wing of the flagship Yamato.

Modified Dreadnought-class Combat Carrier Hyuga

One of the leftover unmanned Dreadnought class ships, completed after the abandonment of the Time Fault. It was built as a “combat carrier” based on the concept of a multifunctional complex standard battleship.

The rear half of the hull has been converted into a hangar for onboard aircraft and has a flight deck. In order to accommodate four squadrons in the limited space inside the ship, two cylinders were installed in parallel (a double-armored cylinder hangar). The ship is equipped with a Wave-Motion Gun at the bow.

Hyuga, which is classified as a “light aircraft carrier” with limited airpower, was touted both domestically and internationally as being in line with the policy of “optimizing armaments for the scale of the earth.” Deployed to the 65th Escort Squadron, she is the left wing of the flagship Yamato.

Type 5 Mobile Space Armor

This armor was developed by incorporating operational data of the Type 2 Mobile Space Armor to increase mobility of the armored spacesuits being developed by Technology Headquarters. It is positioned as an infantry weapon to handle anti-spaceship mobile weapons with an emphasis on trench warfare and manueverability.

A momentum wheel on the back is used in conjunction with crawlers on the legs to improve mobility on land. During space maneuvering, the wheel’s high-speed rotation and the arm movements are used in tandem. It achieves high concealment by controlling its posture with mass balance.

Its basic operation is airdrop by troop transport boats or space deployment by cavalry combat boats. However, during the training voyage of the 65th Escort Squadron, combat training is conducted in cooperation with the air force, using rappelling equipment.

Prototype Space Combat Attack Aircraft Cosmo Python

In the development of the next ship-based multi-role fighter, the Cosmo Python was created as a prototype fighter / attack aircraft with an emphasis on total striking power.

A positron cannon is installed in the center fuselage as a large anti-ship gun. The left and right fuselage are mostly used as armament bays. Each part of the fuselage is unitized and movable with an articulated structure. Each connection can be shifted into a mode optimized for normal combat, high maneuverability, and long-range cruising.

An active stealth field generator is installed to improve stealth performance. The Higgs drive and synchronized warning radar improve the search performance. It is installed on Combat Carrier Hyuga and operated by test pilots.

Cosmo Hound, prototype dimensional submarine

A special ship that can travel back and forth between normal space and subspace, and can navigate in both. It is capable of observation and reconnaissance across the realms of normal space and subspace. Dimensional submarine technology was put to practical use on Garmillas, and was brought to Earth in the form of technology licensing.

The stabilizing wing is equipped with a multi-dimensional phase ballast tank for breaking through dimensional boundaries and diving, just like a dimensional submarine. The name “Cosmo Hound,” given to the prototype model, comes from the code name “Hound,” which was given to the UX-01 during its operation as a dimensional submarine.

AAA-21 Alpheratz

Alpheratz is the 21st Andromeda-class ship, designed and completed as a crewed vessel. It is one of the very few Andromeda-class ships that survived the fierce battle against Gatlantis unscathed. After the war, Alpheratz underwent extensive repairs. As of 2205, the ship is investigating the wreckage of the Gatlantis fleet left behind near the Eleventh Planet (and monitoring its reactivation).

In addition, the original markings during the Battle of Gatlantis were in formal mode to show off the Wave-Motion Gun Fleet concept to the world. The current markings are in service mode (normal operation).

Heavy-class fireboat

Standard Type 5 fire boat [Ginga 01] [Ginga 02]

Used as a liaison ship to other naval vessels, for transporting crew and supplies, for lifesaving work, and for miscellaneous tasks. There are several types, large and small, equipped on each ship. Garmillas Mecha

Deusuler III special first-class aerospace combat carrier

Combining the characteristics of a battleship and an aircraft carrier, Deusuler III is an airborne battlecruiser capable of independent combat operations. It is a special first-class ship that was given the function of commanding the fleet.

It is equipped with a rotating deck, and the underside of the flight deck is used as the gunnery deck. A Dessler gun is mounted on the rotating deck, and the bow is equipped with a matter transporter. In addition, a Geshtam Wall (wave barrier) was adopted to strengthen the defensive function of the hull.

At the time of planning, it was decided that the bridge section could be an independent battle command ship, but technical problems made this difficult. In order to shorten the construction period, the specifications had to be changed and the separate function of the bridge was eliminated. The completed ship was named Deusuler III, and its red hull color indicates it is a prototype.

Length: 402m

Armament:
Wave-Motion Gun (Gesh Darbam, also known as “Dessler cannon”)

Gaipellon-class Multi-deck Space Carrier Lambea with Heavy Arms Unit

After returning home from an engagement with a Gatlantis force at the Lesser Magellanic front, Lambea was docked for long-term maintenance and repair. It became a testbed for a new “heavy arms unit,” built to enhance the firepower of Deusuler III, which had been under construction for some time. The unit is equipped with a triple positron cannon turret and a triple positron beam turret. The “heavy arms unit” cannot be installed on the later version of the Gaipellon class, which has a modified bow section.

In order to improve long-term operational capability, approximately three levels of space on the second deck were converted to living quarters.

Length: 410m

Gaipellon class multi-deck space carrier Balmes

One of the first ships of the Gaipellon class to enter service. The ship’s name, Balmes, comes from the Garmillas word for “to attack.” As an aging ship she was drydocked on Garmillas, unlike her sister ship Schderg. Under the former Dessler regime, it belonged to the Space Navy Task Force under Admiral Dietz, and has now been refurbished for continued operation. The number on the deck is usually the same as the number on the ship. However, the fact that the number is three digits indicates that until just before the capture of the Galman, the ship was operating in open space, not at the main planet.

Length: 410m
Armament:
133mm triple positron cannon turret x 5
33mm quadruple positron rapid-fire turret x 8
Caliber is based on Earth conversion.

Garmillas Emigration Fleet

The fact that Garmillas was nearing the end of its life span, brought to everyone’s attention by Abelt Dessler, led to the establishment of a cooperative relationship between Democratic Garmillas and the Dessler faction, and the start of a solemn plan to relocate all Garmillans. Surveys so far have shown that likely planets for migration exist in the Milky Way. The sub-space gate, which used to be located about 30,000 light years away from Balan, was relocated to the outer rim of the galaxy with Earth’s help.

Simple city-type migrant ship

Heavy equipment carriers (L) • Tanker ships (R)

Earth Migrant Ship • Hospital ship

The fleet consists mainly of simple urban migrant ships, and civilian ships were commandeered as well. Tanker ships are used to transport goods from colonial planets. Heavy equipment carriers that were sometimes used for the transfer of protozoans to and from Balan were renovated, and residential areas have been set up in cargo blocks. Military hospital ships have also undergone some refurbishment, and are being deployed in emigration fleets. Ships from Earth also play a role in the fleet’s transport capacity.

Heavy equipment carrier Length: 260m
Total length of tanker ship: 387m
Earth Migrant Ship Total Length: 250m
Hospital ship Length: 257m

Super Gelvades-class space transport

A very large ship planned and built independently on the 23rd Arsenal colony planet. It was designed to transport supplies and personnel over long distances. The design was based on the appearance of the Gelvades-class space battlecruiser. It is not directly related to the development program of the Weapons Development Bureau.

As a result of the settlement between Abelt Dessler and Democratic Garmillas, the ship was ordered built by Admiral Gul Dietz, Commander of the Space Fleet. The ship was transferred to Dessler’s faction for exploration of exoplanets. At that time, the hull color was changed to “noble blue.” The core ship, formerly attached to the Neu Deusula, was placed on the deck to be used as a temporary hull unit.

The ship was scuttled during the operation to take the planet Galman, incapacitating the Bolar fleet with a resonance wave.

Dezarium Mecha

Autoplanet Goruba

A mobile fortress sent to transport Iscandar, also known as an “automated planet.” It uses field generators to control the inertia of celestial bodies, allowing them to move. They can control the gravity in any area around Goruba, generating multiple gravitational axes.

It also has a class of phase-transforming armor that can neutralize direct hits from Wave-Motion Guns, canceling out energy waves by means of reverse-phase waves. Its properties cancel out magnetic waves, allowing Goruba to be completely rendered in stealth mode. In addition, it can warp celestial bodies using the Dezarium Hammers as external units to supply energy.

Length: 10km
Aircraft : Marauder and Caterpillar fighters. Also equipped with a number of annihilation tanks.
Gunnery Equipment:
Ultra-large gravitational field convergence type beta cannon
Large-caliber Hyperon beta cannon x 8 (main gun)
Anti-aircraft and anti-ship missiles, Hyperon beta cannons, Hyperon alpha cannons, and many other defensive armaments.

Modified Pleiades Assault Battleship Great Pleiades

A huge black battleship under Deda’s command. It has a saucer-shaped hull with a bridge structure that resembles a spire.

It does not use attitude control thrusters on different parts of the hull to rapidly change direction. Instead, it has stacked attitude control units on the sides of the hull as maneuvering wings. This gives it greater maneuverability than Earth and Garmillas ships.

It is equipped with a special shield that can neutralize the positron beam attack of Earth and Garmillas ships to a certain extent. However, it is assumed that the principle is different from that of the Migovazer coating and the Geshtam Wall. This suggests that it has a different technological system from both Earth and Garmillas.

Total length: 410m
Aircraft : Marauder Caterpillars and others
Armament:
Triple heavy nucleus beta turrets x 2
Triple heavy nucleus alpha turret
Three anti-aircraft turrets x 6
Missile launcher x 10
Torpedo tubes x 4

Pleiades-class Offensive Battleship

Great Pleiades is the flagship of the Pleiades-class offensive battleship fleet, which includes the Dezarium hammer. It is equipped with a triple beam turret as its main gun. It is equipped with a stacked attitude control unit, but unlike Great Pleiades, the Pleiades-class offensive battleships do not have maneuvering wings. However, they are capable of maneuvering a hull nearly twice the size of a Hyades-class destroyer. It also has auxiliary engines in the bottom of the ship, separate from the main engines, and a control room in the bottom of the ship, separate from the bridge on top of the hull.

Length: 405m
Aircraft: Raiding fighters, Caterpillars, etc.
Armament:
Triple heavy nucleus beta turret x 2
Triple heavy nucleus alpha turret
Triple anti-aircraft turrets x 4
2 missile launchers
3 torpedo tubes

Hyades-class escort ship

With Great Pleiades as its flagship, the Hyades-class escort ships comprise a fleet of the delivers Dezarium hammers. It is equipped with a triple beam turret as its main gun, but these are secondary weapons for battleships, so they have slightly less firepower. Unlike the Pleiades-class offense battleships, it has only a main engine, no auxiliary engines, and no control room at the bottom of the ship.

Length: 210m
Armament:
Triple heavy nucleus alpha turret x 2
Two triple missile pods
Missile pod x 2
Torpedo tubes
Defensive Armament

Assault Fighter Caterpillar

Manned fighters carried by the battleships of the Dezarium fleet. The Caterpillars have a unique shape that differs from the Garmillas, Gatlantis, and Earth space fighters. It is sometimes called the “caterpillar-shaped fighter” because of its silhouette.

In combat, it deploys its high-mobility wings on the sides of the aircraft, and in conjunction with the high-mobility thruster on the nose, it exhibits excellent mobility. On the other hand, it is estimated that heavy demands are placed on the pilot, but the details are unknown.

Length: 20m
Armament:
Torpedoes x 2
Machine guns x 6

Dezarium hammer

A “spear-shaped object” used by the Dezarium. A device that converts a collapsing celestial body into an energy resource. It has special armor that nullifies artillery fire. The Garmillas’ positron beam attack cannot destroy it. Although it can leap through time and space (warp navigation) on its own, a large number of them is needed to convert celestial bodies into energy resources. This device has a function to transmit the collected energy, but the destination and purpose of the transmission are not known at this stage.

Length: about 600m

Bolar Federation Mecha

Battleships and Aircraft Carriers

The Bolar Federation has two battleships and a carrier in the vicinity of Galman. (The name of each ship is unknown at this stage). All of these ships use a concealment system in which the main armament is interior to the hull and appears when in use. This is presumed to be because Bolar Federation ships often travel through dense interstellar matter. Some have pointed out common features between Bolar battleships and the wreckage of a ship said to have been found on Mars before the Inner Planetary War.

  1. Excuse me, but 重核子 in Japanese is one of the name for Hyperon. The Gallery of ‘Be Forever, Yamato’ also used ‘Hyperon Bomb’ for what is 重核子爆弾 in Japanese.

    • This guide only covers the mecha that appears in 2205 for the first time. For previous series, check the articles for 2199 and 2202.
