Off to Uncharted Fanfic Space

I've currently finished one fanfiction novel and am working on a second one. Both can be found on fanfiction.net

Both books are set on pre-war Gamilon (before the invasion of Earth); all my work is AU and contains a number of original characters, histories, and situations. If you're a staunch canon fan, these probably aren't for you, but feel free to pop in and look around if you like. :)

Synopses:
Book 0: The Guardiana (Completed 9/22/2013)
- Sometimes the key to the present is found in the past. Put one foot into history and one into the present and join two of the SB/Y cast as the history behind the Gamilon royal family is revealed. No one is safe. Enemies become friends; friends become enemies in this multi-millenial conflict.

Book 1: The Right of Kings (In Progress)
- Leader Deun I is dead and his sons, Deun II and Desslok, war for his throne. Then a cataclysmic accident changes the course of the planet's future. The solution to this new problem will be universe-changing. With victory, there comes a price to be paid. Is that price too high?

:!:    Fair warning: you will probably want to check out my fanfiction.net profile before you read my work just so you know what you're getting into: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3758946/dtill359. :D

I've always wondered what would've happened to the Star Force at the end of Season Two if Trelaina hadn't appeared. This gave me a chance to write a fan fiction that would utilize another of the Argo's weapons not seen since the end of Season One. Then again, it takes two to make it work. 8-)

I'm also developing a work that explores the fall of Gamilon and the finding of Desslok from General (Ghader) Talan's POV. I've always been interested in how these two power-house Gamilons came to be close friends.

Just got the chance to sit down and continue my own Fanfic endeavor after three weeks of painful separation from it due to work demands.

I read and thoroughly enjoyed "The Argo and the Deslargeist." :D Looking forward to seeing more work from you. :)

Thanks! I love your story about Desslok's rise to the throne. The backstory you've created is incredible and I'm enjoying how you've blended familiar elements in the story to create intrigue (ie. why Dommel sounds familiar, etc.) Also great to see another writer explore the relationship between Desslok, Talan and his family. I'm also enjoying the Biblical references. The women remind of greats like Judith and Esther.

I look forward to reading more of your work as well. Those muses can be quite impatient when RL interferes. I don't think they understand that we can't fire the Desslok gun and just move on with the story. 8-)

Thank you. It has been a good dozen years in the making. I noticed you've also included some things like that (ie. the Sabella). :D

I'm hoping there isn't too much character rotation between books. I have several characters in "The Right of Kings" who won't be returning in the next book (The TQFI re-tell) for various reasons and a host of "new" ones (ie the Star Force cast) who will be jumping onboard in their sted.

Lol!!! I would be quite happy to do just that - especially with shop-lifters at the store I'm currently working at. 8-)

Thanks. I can tell you put a great deal of thought into it. Also, you have elements of Y 2199 in there, yes? The mural is familiar and Deun II reminds me a bit of Dessler. My mind can't register Abelt Dessler as Desslok for some odd reason. He could be a brother or son of but not
the Desslok - if that makes any sense! :D

Can't wait to read that! You have well established characters and l can't wait to see how they interact with the new characters and the Star Force.

Ah! Sounds like you need the floor panels Desslok had in his palace. Press a button and the shop-lifters drop in a room that has Talan and Wolf Frakken in it! 8-)

Thank you. And yes, I do. :D 2199 filled in the final puzzle pieces for me in several places. The mural is one of the key elements I was missing - plus the addition of Elesa.

I couldn't really reconcile it for a while either - until I saw chapter 7 - then I could. I can see your point though.

Ah yes; I'm really looking forward to it too - as well as the coming second half of TROK - and a unique "halftime" Intermission.

 I should put that suggestion in to the Asset Protection guys. ^_^ Whoever got in most certainly would never want to be there again.

Very clever use of the mural! I love the story that you've given it!

True. What Dessler did for Schultz's family showed that he was at least capable of having compassion for his men, even second class officers. That, and I think I just preferred Desslok looking a bit older as he did in the SB/Y sagas. At least the Y2199 gives us more to consider about his overall character. ;)

Can't wait! It's also refreshing to see you actively writing these stories. I think we're kind of a dying breed elsewhere. That's OK, because the Desslok and Talan muses will accept NO excuses from me! It's nice to see other fans keeping the spirit alive!

 You should! Or maybe send the shop-lifters to these two:

As if one of them couldn't handle it. Two Dessloks? Run for your life! :D

:D I loved that mural - though I preferred the version of it they showed in one of the credits sections. It was funny though because I actually wrote the mural in before I knew Y2199's reason for having it. I had no idea they were using it as a unity symbol. ^_^

True. What Dessler did for Schultz's family showed that he was at least capable of having compassion for his men, even second class officers.

What really finally convinced me was first, the conversation between Dessler & Starsha in Ch.7, then, two, the "death" scene (which, of course we all know Dessler/Desslok isn't really dead ) and the memories of Starsha that were "played back" for us to see. :)

That, and I think I just preferred Desslok looking a bit older as he did in the SB/Y sagas. At least the Y2199 gives us more to consider about his overall character. ;)

True. I preferred the older incarnation as well, though the younger look did help get some things in perspective. My favorite renderings though are from "Bolar Wars" - which I know a lot of fans hated BW, but it remains my favorite piece of the saga overall because of the potential it has.

;) I'm trying to get the next chapter out later this week - before Friday & Saturday's workdays hit. :?

It's nice to see other fans keeping the spirit alive!

Same here. I'm thrilled to see another person writing. Asthiathien is another fanfiction.net user who's been doing some really great work and updating as often as she can.
