When the first TV series was released in a 13-volume VHS box set by JAVN in May, 1989, those who bought it via direct order received two bonus CDs. The first had almost the same content as Space Battleship Yamato BGM Collection Part 1, but the second consisted of 29 tracks edited into a medley about 30 minutes in length. Because this second CD is now difficult to find, the medley has been included here.
