The Hyperon Bomb (if that’s what we’re still calling it) plunges forward on its course toward Earth, passing the wreckage of old Comet Empire battleships en route. A few frames later, the 11th planet comes into view. The caption reads Space Battleship Yamato Newest Work.
Voice of Saki Todo: “Something is approaching Earth. Something incredible.”
Close up of [probably] little Sasha’s eye. Sanada is visible in the reflection.
Single shots of Ryusuke Domon and Yasuo Nanbu.
Asuka-type battleship carriers fire missiles at an incoming target.
Unknown voice: “The Dispersion Wave-Motion Gun doesn’t work!”
The missiles bloom in the path of the Hyperon Bomb; they are the same style seen fired by the original Asuka in 2205. Next we see Shima looking into a tactical HUD.
Voice of Daisuke Shima: “There were bugs in it from the beginning.”
With its legs unfurled, the Hyperon Bomb descends through Earth’s atmosphere.
Unmanned battleships rocket toward the incoming bomb and we see new character Seiya Kitano (perhaps at the helm of an Asuka).
Voice of Susumu Kodai: Yamato was taken off line and placed in reserve, and the crew is scattered.
Dezarium ships fire away, piercing the unmanned battleships (which instantly explode).
Single shots of Caroline Raiden and Yuki Mori.
Ginga swings its bow past the camera.
Voice of Saki Todo: “But it had a meaning.”
The bomb decends toward the ground, watched by onlookers from below.
Voice of Analyzer: “Assemble, assemble, assemble. Yamato fleet crew, assemble.”
Two onlookers we’ve seen before: Makoto Kato and her son Tsubasa. The stakes are even higher now.
EDF personnel (mostly familiar faces) watch helplessly.
Susumu Kodai has good reason to look worried. TITLE SCREEN! Reminding us that we’re also visiting Yamato III territory.

Something people have noticed is that the sun at the end of this trailer is actually slightly bigger than the sun shown at the end of the announcement trailer
