Hot topic explosion! The Yamato BS version has finally appeared!

A complete masterpiece with roman and scale that surpasses its predecessor!

To the far reaches of the Universe!

Space Battleship Yamato, which caused an explosive boom throughout Japan last year, is back! You still remember the excitement and emotion. After a deadly battle against the Gamilas Empire, which planned to invade the Earth, peace has returned. And then…

In the year 2201, Yamato suddenly launches!

Space Battleship Yamato has fulfilled its great purpose of saving the Earth. Now, it is even more determined to save the entire universe, Farewell to Yamato is a space adventure that far surpasses its predecessor in both scale and content.

The story is set in a time when the entire universe is on the verge of an unprecedented crisis due to the appearance of a giant white comet. The story is about a group of young space warriors, including Susumu Kodai, who board the decommissioned Yamato, overcome the opposition of the Earth Federation, and fight a courageous battle.

The drama unfolds more dynamically from a battle to save Earth into a battle to protect the peace of the entire universe. The appearance of evil. Yamato‘s fate far exceeds imagination. This work will surely lead you to a world of endless dreams and adventures.

Absolute doom! Defeat the super missile!

The most powerful battle scene in Farewell to Yamato, a huge missile battle against the Goland fleet, is realistically reproduced by computer animation using graphic characters of the TK-80 BS.

Admiral Goland discovers that Yamato is being swept away by space currents right in front of the planet Telezart, and launches a concentrated missile attack. Finally, the Gatlantis Empire’s “super missile” approaches Yamato! You, the combat group leader and acting captain, must escape from this crisis by making full use of the 7 types of weapons equipped on the BS version of Yamato.

It is up to you whether you can escape successfully or not!

Amazing realistic sound

Connecting the “one-chip synthesizer” described on p. 22, I tried to reproduce explosions, projectiles, and alarm sounds. This is very powerful!

It can produce sounds closer to the real thing than an arcade game. I tried to realistically reproduce Yamato sounds such as the Wave-Motion gun firing, energy charging, main gun firing, missile firing, explosions, etc.

How to use the program

Small missile groups of the Goland fleet come from the left and right, and meteorites drawn by the cosmic current fall from above. Yamato‘s weapons (7 types) smash them and cut a path to Planet Telezart. Energy is used up by firing too many shots, and a super-sized missile is approaching,

If you shoot too many times, you will run out of energy, and when the super missile comes at you, you will not be able to fire your Wave-Motion Gun. On the other hand, if you do not shoot at all and just stay still while being attacked, your energy will be depleted.

Do not be hasty in aiming and shooting.

How to play the Yamato game

After destroying the large missile with the Wave-Motion Gun, you can go to Planet Telezart! However, if the energy level does not reach 120% and the large missile unfortunately hits the target, Yamato will be destroyed and only demonic laughter will remain.

In a corridor battle with small missiles and meteorites, try not to deplete energy as much as possible. Keeping it around 80% is the way to victory!

Now, let me tell you how to use the 7 weapons. The keys from F to M on the BS keyboard are used. Learn them well before you go into battle.

F: Bow missile
G: 1st & 2nd main guns
H: 1st pulse laser group
I: Wave Gun preparation
J: Smokestack missile
K: 2nd pulse laser group
L: 3rd main gun
M: Wave-Motion Gun

Connect the one-chip synthesizer and launch Yamato!

Small missiles are destroyed by the bow missiles, so pay close attention to the front of the ship. It is quite a useful weapon. Meteorites are destroyed by smokestack missiles and pulse lasers. The explosion heights are different, so do not be hasty and be effective. The main guns cover the area outside the attack range of the bow missile and the smokestack missiles (but the third main gun is not used much).

Now, when the big missile appears, get ready for the Wave-Motion Gun. The energy increases rapidly, but the large missile is getting closer every minute. When the energy reaches 120%, you will get an OK message, so press the “Wave-Motion Gun” button. It will fire with a countdown.

Note that each weapon cannot be used consecutively. For example, if you fire two smokestack missiles and don’t hit the target, more missiles cannot be fired right away. In such a case, the missiles can be used again after another weapon has been used. In such a case, remain calm. I want you to remember this.
