One year has passed since then. In response to overwhelming requests from fans, Farewell to Yamato, the latest original theatrical version, is finally born based on a completely new concept. This Yamato has already received great acclaim for its scale and content, which far surpass the previous work.

Anyway, advance tickets are selling like hotcakes, and it is surprising to hear that it is on the verge of surpassing not only the previous film, but Star Wars as well! [Story]

The year is 2201 A.D. After winning a deadly battle against the planet Gamilas, Earth is at peace. Then, a message arrives from a distant planet asking for help. A white comet, which is expanding and contracting and destroying many planets with its super gravity, is plotting to conquer the universe.

Susumu Kodai and the other Yamato soldiers set out to rescue Teresa, a mysterious beauty from the planet Telezart, the sender of the message, and to bring peace to the universe. On the enemy side, Dessler, the supposedly dead leader of the planet Gamilas, has defected. Yuki Mori is seriously wounded in the fierce battle to the death. A close call!

Yamato sets the white comet ablaze with the Wave-Motion Gun. We did it! Kodai and his friends dance for joy. But at that moment, from the depths of the collapsed white membrane, an unbelievable sight emerges…

[Commentary]

It feels like the boom of movies, TV, records, and science fiction is in full swing. Once a boom starts to rise, it seems to have been the tendency of Yamato people since ancient times to unite as one.

Now, let’s take a look at this trend. last year’s Space Battleship Yamato” was a perfect example. Since it was the first of its kind, it is now being concluded. Farewell to Yamato is being produced as a sequel. From TV anime to theatrical release, the ardent fan club served as the catalyst.
