Yamato telefeature
Just when you thought the boom of Yamato 2 was over, a “new work” follows it! Our news crew attacked the producer, Nishizaki!
On July 21 we’ll encounter Yamato for the third time!!
Producer Nishizaki finally starts the sequel!
Yamato 2 ended with Kodai and Yuki Mori still alive, and Producer Nishizaki has finally decided to produce Yamato 3. Prior to Yamato 3, a new feature-length TV anime will be aired on Fuji TV on July 21.
Yamato 2 kept us on the edge of our seats until the very end. In the end, Susumu and Yuki did not die. The ending was different from the movie, which was a surprise. the majority of Yamato fans must have applauded with joy. Moreover, after much hesitation, Producer Nishizaki has finally decided to produce Yamato 3. He told our Yamato reporting team about the situation:
“To be honest, I thought it would end with the movie Farewell to Yamato. However, now that the TV series Yamato 2 is over, I feel that there are still some things that I have not been able to fully depict. For example, Yuki Mori’s love for Kodai. I wanted to depict this more in-depth. The same goes for Kodai and Dessler’s friendship. In addition to a few complaints, I received strong requests from various quarters to ‘please make part 3!’ So I finally made up my mind.”
So when will Yamato 3 start?
“Around the summer of next year.”
That’s quite far away.
“So, before that, we are going to air a Yamato telefeature (feature-length TV anime) on July 21. This is a story that is necessary in order to continue with Yamato 3. The length is not much different from that of a theatrical film.”
The official title of this telefeature has not been decided yet. (Of course, we will let you know as soon as it is.) However, we were able to hear the story from Mr. Nishizaki himself!
