Dr. Sakezo Sado

Voice: Shigeru Chiba

Former Yamato chief medical officer, medical division
Rank: Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent (military)
Date of Birth: October 1, 2144. Libra, 63 years old.

Former Yamato doctor and Chief Medical Officer. He is an all-rounder who knows the limits of medicine and the impermanence of all things better than anyone else. He drinks heavily and never lets go of his bottle, but his skills are top-notch. He has many admirers for his unconventional way of dealing with people, such as quietly offering a room in the medical section as a place for new recruits to relax and turning a blind eye.

After the reorganization of the 65th Escort Squadron, it seems he’s no longer serving in the fleet.

Toru Hoshina

Voice: Motoki Takagi

Former Head of Yamato‘s security division
Rank: First Lieutenant
Date of Birth: September 23, 2181. Libra, 26 years old.

He is a good-natured young man, and his calm demeanor makes everyone around him let down their guard, but inside he hides an icy coldness. On his first voyage to Iscandar, he secretly investigated and monitored the movements of the anti-Yamato Plan faction, working as inside man for Heikuro Todo, head of the Yamato Plan Headquarters, and actually suppressed the mutiny.

After the reorganization of the 65th Escort Squadron, it seems he’s no longer on duty in the fleet. There are reports that he’s been promoted, but his current position is unknown. It seems his relationship with his wife, Yuria, is still very close after five years of marriage.

Yuria Hoshina

Voice: Aya Uchida

Former Hyuga marine deparment officer/chief radar operator
Rank: Third Lieutenant
Date of Birth: January 10, 2182. Capricorn, 25 years old.

In 2199 AD, she was the youngest crew member to board the Yamato. After that, she served on board the Experimental Wave-Motion Ship Ginga and the Combat Aircraft Carrier Hyuga. She has grown to the point where she is in charge of the main radar on the Hyuga.

She married Toru Hoshina, then a member of the Yamato Security Force, whom she met on the first voyage to Iscandar. Even now, in their fifth year of marriage, Yuria’s repertoire of dishes continues to expand.

Hiroki Shinohara

Voice: Daisuke Hirakawa

Former Hyuga tactical division wing commander, current commander of Combat Aircraft Carrier Hyuga (DCV-01)
Rank: 3rd Class Lieutenant Colonel (wartime exception)
Date of Birth: October 19, 2175. 31 years old.

Served as vice commander of Yamato‘s Air Corps and captain of the Hyuga Air Force.

During the reorganization of the 65th Escort Squadron, he was approached by Vice-Commander Serizawa to take over the position of Hyuga Captain. Although the requirement for an aircraft carrier captain is to have pilot experience, this was beyond Shinohara’s imagination. At first, he strongly expressed his intention to resign, but upon hearing of the “Operation DAD” concept, which centered on people with experience in fighting Dezarium, he accepted.

There is an anecdote that he approached Serizawa and said, “However, I won’t cut my hair. Is that okay?”

Miki Saijo

Voice: Moriya Satomi

Former Yamato marine department chief officer/chief radar operator
Current Defense Command Headquarters Adjutant of Staff
Rank: Second Lieutenant
Date of Birth: January 23, 2178, Aquarius, 29 years old.

Former Yamato Commanding Officer. She was a “hard worker” who served on all of Yamato‘s voyages and silently carried out a wide variety of naval duties. She finally disembarked from Yamato due to the reorganization of the 65th Escort Squadron. She currently works at the Defense Command Headquarters.

She had many secret fans because of the way she looked at the radar while tucking her long black hair, but now that she’s here, she’s suddenly had a makeover. Needless to say, many people who were close to Saijo, including her colleague Tetsuya Kitano, cried out in protest.

Shiori Nagakura

Voice: Kazusa Amagai

Former platoon commander, 65th Special Task Force, Space Cavalry
Rank: First Lieutenant
Date of Birth: May 23, 2173. Gemini, 34 years old.

Captain of the Space Cavalry. She is an experienced cavalry member. She succeeded Hajime Saito, the former captain who was killed in battle, and led her 31 troops to rescue planet Iscandar. She is the best in her unit at handling the new Type 5 mobile armor. Despite her rough tone, she has a gentle view toward her troops.

Nagakura’s unit was stationed on the Supply Carrier Asuka, but due to the reorganization of the 65th Escort Squadron, the entire unit has been relocated.

Mikage Kiryu

Voice: Eriko Nakamura

Former Asuka technical officer in charge of analysis and communications
Rank: Third Lieutenant
Date of Birth: April 18, 2180. Aries, 27 years old.

An expert in linguistics and information analysis.

Her hobbies are very diverse. She is a person of “intellectual curiosity” who has a wide variety of interests including Norse mythology, classical art, and older generation ships. She has previously served on Yamato, Ginga, and Asuka. Her current status is unknown now that the 65th Escort Squadron has been reorganized.

Megumi Kanzaki

Voice: Megumi Hayashibara

First officer of the Experimental Wave-Motion Ship Ginga
Rank: First Lieutenant
Date of Birth: December 4, 2166. Sagittarius, 40 years old.

Ginga‘s first officer, officer of ship affairs department.

She is a good and understanding person who continues to support Saki Todo, the captain of the ship, both in private and in public. She is a graduate of MIT and a student of Shiro Sanada.

Currently, Ginga is engaged in repair work at Saturn, which remains severely damaged after the Gatlantis War. It is a difficult mission that doesn’t have a definite end in sight, but Kanzaki uses her natural logical thinking to deal with it and accumulate results. Her beauty is such that the young members of Ginga‘s crew whisper that she is “the witch of anti-aging.”

Mina Ichinose

Voice: Tomoyo Kurosawa

Navigator, Ginga navigation department
Rank: Third Lieutenant
Date of birth: January 4, 2183. Capricorn, 24 years old.

Chief Navigator of the Experimental Wave-Motion Ship Ginga.

During the Gatlantis War, she received guidance on ship handling techniques from Daisuke Shima. At that time, Ichinose was a young woman with a fierce side who was not satisfied with her own abilities and wanted to improve her reaction speed even if it meant mechanizing her body. Now, four years later, those thoughts are gone from her mind.

Her extreme sense of elitism has faded, and she has become able to look at things with an open mind. After all, people change.

Urara Kusakabe

Voice: Arisa Komiya

Chief tactical officer, Ginga tactical department
Rank: Third Lieutenant
Date of birth: February 9, 2182. Aquarius, 25 years old.

Tactical chief on the Experimental Wave-Motion Ship Ginga.

She enrolled at the North American Space Naval Academy at the end of the Garmillas War. Although she was highly praised for her ability to overturn all the tactics of the command AI, she caused problems and was expelled from school. After the end of the war, she was invited by Megumi Kanzaki to join the “G Plan”, promoted by the Far East District. She is involved in the development of tactical AI for the Experimental Wave-Motion Ship Ginga.

Kusakabe’s ability is recognized by everyone, but Ginga currently refuses to allow human fire control due to the influence of the Cosmo Reverse. As expected, Kusakabe is struggling with this.

Analyzer (AU09)

Voice: Cho

Activated on February 1st, 2207. Aquarius.

A legitimate successor machine that inherits the memory data of Yamato‘s autonomous subframe AU09 (first generation Analyzer), which was destroyed during the Gatlantis War.

Although it was developed as a “replacement part” with the same functions and memories as the first generation, he seems to be at a loss as to whether he is the same as the first generation.

Is it really a coincidence that the rollout date is February 1st, the same as the first generation Analyzer? Is this some sort of revelation?

Earth Civilians

Makoto Kato

Voice: Rina Satou

Former name: Makoto Harada
Former Yamato hygienist
Date of Birth: June 30, 2177. Cancer, 30 years old.

The widow of Saburo Kato, who died in the Gatlantis war. On the anniversary of his death, she never misses the memorial service at Hero’s Hill. Currently lives with her son Tsubasa in Ichigyo City, in the suburbs of the capital. She spends her days praying for Tsubasa, who is overly energetic, while expressing gratitude for his growth.

Tsubasa Kato

Voice: Natsumi Takamori

Son of the late Saburo and Makoto Kato
Date of Birth: August 23, 2200. Leo, 7 years old.

The only son of Saburo Kato, who was killed in the Gatlantis war. Although he doesn’t talk much, he has grown so much physically and mentally that it’s hard to believe he’s just 7 years old.

He imposes rules on himself in order to become a person who his late father would be proud of. Tsubasa’s heart has both the strength to stick to his own feelings and the kindness to care for the weak, and it is as if his father and mother are still alive within him.

Bolar Federation

Vilke Boroze

(alt spelling: Burroughs)
Voice: Satoshi Taki

Former governor of the planet Galman.
Current Political Officer of Frontier Patrol Fleet 584.

It’s already been two years since the planet Galman, which he ruled as governor, was taken away by Garmillas forces led by Abelt Dessler. Boroze has become a political officer who supervises and guides an extremely small fleet that repeatedly invades the territorial waters of the remote interstellar nation of Earth.

Still overwhelmed with frustration borne from his hatred towards Garmillas, who defeated him, and their allied nation Earth, Boroze encounters an “unknown enemy” that he could never have imagined.

Chief Rebarus

(alt spelling: Levals)
Voice: Soji Maruyama

Former secretary to the governor of planet Galman.
Current Secretary to the Political Officer of Frontier Patrol Fleet 584.

A man who once held great power as the secretary to Governor Boroze.

Although he lost his position along with Boroze, who is currently on the verge of defeat, he dreams of the day when he can return to the top.

Jerba Gudan

Voice: Toru Inada

Captain of the Ganonda-type space carrier Labrokov.

The captain of the space carrier Labrokov, flagship of the seven-ship Frontier Patrol Fleet 584.
A self-made Bolar soldier who has survived many battles.

Because of that, he knows how to keep everything to himself without saying anything unnecessary. Although Gudan has his thoughts about the alcoholic political officer, he never says them aloud.
