Gaizengan Weapons Group
Kalaklum class Battleship
The Large Battleship of Gatlantis that threatened to destroy the Earth
The Kalaklum class Battleship is a large Gatlantis battleship of the Gaizengan Weapons Group that boasts a huge body of 520m in length. It is particularly large among Gatlantis’s ships, equipped with more than 30 artillery weapons installed in various parts of the hull, and also excels in damage control capabilities.
In addition to the artillery weapons on the hull, it also has a special artillery system called the “torpedo swivel cannon.” It releases small torpedo bits outside the ship, forming two rings that rotate around the hull. This is used to amplify beam energy and fire powerful shots. It can be operated by a single ship, but the power can be increased by linking the torpedo bits of multiple ships of the same type. This is further strengthened by the Legionnaire Cannon, a collective superweapon that can be deployed using more than 15,000 ships of the same type.
Gatlantis deployed a Kalaklum class ship, camouflaged with bedrock, to the occupied 8th Garmillasia (8th floating continent). After annihilating the Garmillas fleet with its torpedo cannon, Gatlantis attempted to drop the dying ship on Earth’s capital city.
Performance Specifications
Type: Kalaklum class Battleship
Length: 520m
Armament:
3 rotating cannon turrets (front and rear of ship)
2 large rotating cannon turrets (both sides of bridge base)
4 medium rotating cannon turrets (both sides)
6 small rotating cannon turrets (various parts of ship)
12 fixed beam cannons (leading edge of forward stabilizer)
3 bridge turrets (under bridge, fixed rotation)
1 bridge cannon turret (forward of bridge base, limited rotation)
Hull Structure
As seen in the Naska and Lasceaux classes, Gatlantis ships have a flattened shape, or a structure with stacked flat shapes, but the Kalaklum class has a long cross-sectional shape. This style is considered “common sense” on Earth. However, its size is larger than that of the Earth Federation Defense Force’s largest Andromeda class, and is largest even among Gatlantis ships. The “torpedo swivel cannon” is a special bombardment system exclusive to the Kalaklum class.
Initial Operation
A Kalaklum class battleship was deployed in the 8th Garmillasia (8th Floating Continent) Battle, initially hidden with its hull covered in bedrock. As the battle progressed in favor of the Earth-Garmillas Combined Fleet, the Kalaklum class removed its camouflage, entered the battle and dealt a serious blow to the Garmillas fleet with a sweeping barrage using its “torpedo swivel cannon.” Immediately after, the Gatlantis fleet suffered a heavy blow from the Earth Federation Defense Force’s Andromeda class’s Dispersion Wave-Motion Gun, but the Kalaklum broke through the firing zone and approached Earth.
Admiral Maser’s ship, characterized by its white hull color
The Kalaklum class battleship is a large Gatlantis battleship of the Gaizengan Weapons Group, and Admiral Maser’s flagship is characterized by its white-based coloring. The 8th Mobile Fleet, with this as its flagship, attacked the 11th planet as the vanguard of the invasion of the solar system, and is known for being the first to use the Legionnaire Cannon in the battle with Earth.
The Legionnaire Cannon is a collective superweapon that expands on the Kalaklum class special artillery system, the “torpedo swivel cannon.” It deploys thousands of ships in this class as conductors to form a giant guided cannon barrel that converts the implosion energy of a star into a beam to be fired.
What makes this possible is the massive proliferation of Gaizengan weapons, a product of human weapons technology that uses antimatter energy absorbed from the planet Telezart to transform clone soldiers into weapons themselves. The Kalaklum class, one of these, was tested at the 8th floating continent. It is believed that by the time of the attack on the 11th planet, millions of these ships had been deployed.
Hull Structure
The Kalaklum class ship of Admiral Maser is not different from the standard model except for its white coloring. The Kalaklum class is characterized by its elongated hull shape and the variety of artillery weapons mounted on various parts. Its offensive power is extremely high, but when the 8th Mobile Fleet tried to fire the Legionnaire Cannon at the 11th planet, the artificial sun being used as its energy source was destroyed by Yamato‘s Wave-Motion Gun, and all ships were temporarily disabled by the interference waves of the wave resonance.
Bridge
The Kalaklum class is a large ship more than 500m long, but in contrast to its size, the bridge has a small structure. In the case of Admiral Maser’s ship, the bridge has about five personnel in addition to the commander, and the interior space is very narrow. However, the Kalaklum class deployed after the proliferation of the Gaizengan Weapons Group was unmanned, and it is thought that only a small portion of them, including Maser’s ship, required a pilot.
The overwhelming striking power of the gigantic Kalaklum class battleship
The Gaizengan Weapons Group’s Kalaklum class battleship is characterized by its function as a component of a special bombardment system (the torpedo swivel cannon) and a collective superweapon (Legionnaire Cannon). However, with its huge hull measuring 520m and countless artillery weapons, it is also extremely formidable as a pure combat ship.
In addition, the hull is so sturdy that it can maintain its navigational capability even after being hit by a Dispersion Wave-Motion Gun, and demonstrates a performance that keeps the Earth Federation Defense Force’s older generation ships at bay. However, the greater threat lies in the production power of Gatlantis, which can build millions of ships of this class in a short period of time. (In the case of the Gaizengan Weapons Group, it is more accurate to call it a generation.)
Thousands of ships of this class were deployed in the attack on the 11th planet, and many were deployed as the main force of Baruze’s 7th Mobile Fleet during the invasion of the Solar System. Their numbers and striking power overwhelmed the Earth Federation Defense Force’s Wave-Motion Gun fleet, showing humanity the true power of Gatlantis.
Bridge Turret
At the front of the bridge is a large twin-barreled turret called the bridge cannon turret. Unusually for Gatlantis’ artillery weapons, this rotating turret has an exposed barrel, and is equipped with an emphasis on projecting firepower forward. The lower part of the bridge structure consists of three layers of triple-barrel turrets (bridge turrets), which can rotate to a certain extent. Both bridge turrets are larger in caliber than the rotating turrets, and are believed to have greater power.
Rotating turrets
In addition to the two types of bridge turrets, the ship is equipped with multiple rotating turrets on various parts of the hull. The largest of these is the rotating turret on the top of the hull, with three located in front of and behind the bridge. In addition, three different sizes of rotating turrets are mounted as secondary guns and anti-aircraft guns. The largest is the main turret of the Naska class strike carrier, the medium-sized one is the secondary turret of the Lasceaux class assault cruiser, and the smallest one is the same as the Naska class anti-aircraft turret.
Lasceaux class Assault Cruiser
Gatlantis main battleship with both firepower and speed
The Lasceaux class assault cruiser is a medium-sized battleship that is a mainstay of the Gatlantis space fleet, characterized by its combination of heavy armament and high speed performance.
Gatlantis plundered technology from civilizations it has overrun and applied it to evolve its weapons. The Lasceaux class was one of the space battleships built in this way, but because it was based on stolen technology, its performance was limited. As a result, with the emergence of the Gaizengan Weapons Group, which surpassed Gatlantis’s existing weapons, this class was retired from the main force.
However, it was used as a core component in the vanguard strike groups that had been deployed before that, supporting Gatlantis’ material operations. Many were also deployed in the vanguard fleet that occupied Garmillas’ 8th floating continent, where they played a role in forming a defensive formation to protect the Medalusa class Annihilation-type heavy battleships and Naska class strike carriers, which were the core of that force.
This class was also confirmed to be in the Telezart escort fleet under the Goland fleet, as well as in the escort ships of Neu Deusula, which suggests that it was widely used.
Performance Specifications
Type: Assault Cruiser
Length: 240m
Armament:
6 main turrets (8-barrel rapid-fire turret)
6 secondary turrets (8-barrel rapid-fire turret)
Anti-aircraft turrets:
4 8-barrel turrets, 2 4-barrel turrets
10 missile launchers
2 quantum torpedo launchers
Structure
The Lasceaux class hull shape is characterized by a flat and curved form, which was seen in Gatlantis ships developed before the rise of the Gaizengan Weapons Group. The bow is divided into upper and lower parts and protrudes forward, and the bridge is located on the top center of the hull. The coloring is green and white like other Gatlantis ships, but the Lasceaux class accompanying the Neu Deusula was painted with the same blue coloring as their flagship.
Armament
The artillery armament is the rapid-fire turret unique to Gatlantis ships, with three large main turrets and three small secondary turrets on the top and bottom of the hull. The anti-aircraft turrets are also turret-type, with two 8-barrels at the base of the bridge, two at symmetrical positions on the underside of the hull, and two 4-barrels at the base of the lower bow. In addition, the ten missile launchers on both sides of the base of the bridge and two quantum torpedo launchers give the ship high firepower. It is believed that there was also a torpedo type equipped with a super-large missile on the bow.
Kukulkan class Assault Destroyer
A destroyer that uses its maneuverability to attack at close range
The Kukulkan class assault destroyer is one of the main ships of Gatlantis, and is characterized by its high maneuverability. At 190m long, it is the smallest of the battleships used by Gatlantis, but it is larger than similar ships of Earth and Garmillas, and is equipped with many turrets, taking advantage of the spacious hull structure.
The basic tactic of this class is to fire these artillery weapons while closing in on the enemy, and depending on the situation, there are cases where multiple ships work together using wolf pack tactics. This class plays a part in the fighting force along with the Lasceaux class assault cruiser and the Naska class strike carrier, and many are deployed in vanguard fleets.
In the battle with Earth, they were spotted in the fleet that occupied the 8th floating continent and in the advance party of the 8th mobile fleet that attacked the 11th planet. The focus of strike power shifted to the Gaizengan Weapons Group when it was deployed in combat, but the Kukulkan class was still used as an escort for the main fleet. (A ship resembling this class was also seen in the landing force under Baruze that took control of Earth.)
Performance Specifications
Type: Assault destroyer
Length: 190m
Armament:
5 main turrets (8-barrel rapid-fire turrets)
3 secondary turrets (8-barrel rapid-fire turret guns)
Anti-aircraft turrets (rapid-fire turrets):
2 eight-barrel units, 8 single-barrel units
2 quantum torpedo launchers
Hull structure
The Kukulkan class has a curved hull shape, and its form is very similar to the Lasceaux class. In addition, it has a structure that looks like a long and slender upper hull seated on a flat lower hull. Each is equipped with a propulsion engine with a different nozzle shape. In an emergency, the upper and lower hulls can be separated, and in the battle on the 11th planet, some ships were able to detach their lower hull after receiving a direct hit, then continue the battle with only the upper hull. The bridge is also located at the rear of the upper hull.
Artillery Weapons
The rapid-fire turret cannon on the Kukulkan class is the standard artillery weapon of Gatlantis, and has multiple gun barrels on a circular turret. It is designed to fire beams in rapid succession while rotating intermittently, and places more importance on “scattering” a large amount of crushing energy than on accuracy. It can be said that its characteristics are a good fit for this class, whose basic tactic is close-quarters attacks. In addition, there is one main gun on the upper hull, two on the top and bottom of the lower hull, and three secondary gun turrets on the upper hull.
Early Gostok class Missile Battleship
Goland
A Gatlantis ship characterized by the use of super-large missiles
The early Gostok class missile battleship Goland is a large combat ship named after Goland, a famous commander of Gatlantis. As missile battleship classification suggests, it is a specially-designed ship with a variety of missiles of various sizes as its main artillery weapons, and its greatest feature is the two super-large missiles mounted on the bow. Their destructive power easily surpasses that of standard ship’s guns, making it possible to carry out large-scale attacks such as planetary invasions and fleet destruction.
In addition, the launchers for the super-large missiles can be converted to accommodate other warheads and landing containers, giving it the scalability to respond to a variety of operations.
This class was deployed as part of the Goland fleet led by successive Goland clones, and was deployed in the early stages of the Telezart invasion, after which it became the main force of the fleet defending the planet. Many were also deployed to the White Comet garrison fleet, and at the end of the Battle of Saturn. Their striking power caused great damage to the Earth Federation Defense Force fleet, including the flagship Andromeda.

1 5-barrel missile turret (lower center)
8 twin missile/twin beam turrets (upper and lower rear of wings) (※)
* missiles can be reloaded
Hull structure
The hull structure is characterized by a layout that is almost symmetrical from top to bottom. The ship was originally designed with only the upper surface, but this was changed to the current structure in order to improve striking power. The weapons mainly use missile-type ammunition, and some hybrid missile/beam turrets are used. In addition, some missiles can be reloaded and fired continuously, so it is thought that the ship was designed for wave attacks or saturation attacks using a large number of missiles.
Bridge
The bridge is located high in the upper center of the hull, and is characterized by a structure with a large window in the front. It is manned by a maximum of four people plus the commander, and although it is a large ship, control is simplified. In addition, inside the flagship of Goland, who commanded the Telezart planet garrison fleet, there is a “coming-of-age room” for Gatlantis “larvae.” (It is unknown whether other ships of the same class have one.) Just before the battle with Yamato, Goland’s larvae, Nor, had his head shaved there.
Early Gostok class Missile Battleship
Goland
The Gostok class equipped with superweapons, repurposed as suicide attack weapons
The early Gostok class missile battleship, which was the main force of the Goland fleet, achieved success as ships that operated the “Doomsday Missile” superweapon which converted antimatter energy obtained from Telezart. In response, Gatlantis increased production of the class and equipped it with this missile as standard, using it as the initial main ship in the invasion of Earth.
They were deployed at the end of the Battle of Saturn, dealing with Earth’s Wave-Motion Gun fleet trapped in the gravity of the White Comet. Furthermore, the structure of the Gostok class equipped with the Doomsday Missile would be repurposed in a different direction: the suicide tactic of unmanned ships. This was a variant called the Gostok “Genocide Slave,” which was deployed in the later stages of the invasion of Earth.
Like the Gaizengan Weapons Group’s self-destruct attack ship Eater I, this ship was designed to annihilate the enemy through ramming and suicide attacks, and with a size more than twice that of Eater I, it exerted overwhelming destructive power. It was deployed in the Comet City Empire’s escort fleet and engaged in battle with Yamato and the Garmillas fleet.
Hull structure
The first confirmed use of a doomsday missile equipped on the bow of the Gostok class was in the battle against Yamato at Telezart. On Earth, it is called an “annihilation missile,” and has the power to break through the Wave Barrier of Earth ships as a wide-area destructive weapon that causes great damage around the explosion. Apart from that, there is no difference in the hull structure or weaponry from the standard Gostok class. Even without the annihilation missile, it has high offensive power as a missile battleship.
Gostok Genocide Slave
The Gostok Genocide Slave is similar in appearance to the Gostok class, which is equipped with annihilation missiles, but some of the hull structure and operational philosophy are very different. The coloring has been changed to solid black, the bridge has been enlarged, and missiles have been added to the bottom of the ship. The main concept seems to have been suicide tactics, but the abundant missiles inherited from the Gostok class demonstrated excellent combat power as a combat ship.
Medalusa class Annihilation-type Heavy Battleship
A heavy battleship that reflects the ferocity of the Gatlantis warrior race
The Medalusa class Annihilation-type-type heavy battleship is the pride of Gatlantis and can be described as a weapon that speaks of their ferocity as a warrior race. Its greatest feature is the special “flame direct hit cannon” that allows long-range bombardment by transferring heat energy through space. Together with other powerful artillery weapons, it has some of the strongest offensive powers among Gatlantis ships.
The Megaluda, which Yamato encountered on its return from Iscandar, is known as a sister ship of the Medalusa class, but the same class was later mass-produced and deployed in large numbers to each fleet. The Gatlantis fleet that engaged the Earth/Garmillas combined fleet in the “Operation 8 Floating Continent Recapture” also deployed several Medalusa class ships, and the power of their flame direct-hit cannons dealt a heavy blow to the vanguard of the Garmillas fleet.
In addition, one Medalusa class ship was heavily damaged during the battle by the Battleship Yunagi, commanded by Susumu Kodai. Even so, there can be no doubt that these large battleships posed a threat to Earth.
Performance Specifications
Length: 505m
Armament: 1 flame direct hit cannon
2 teleporters
1 broadside cannon turret (five-barrel large-caliber armor-piercing turret)
3 main guns (eight-barrel rapid-fire turret)
2 secondary guns (two-barrel rapid-fire turret)
16 anti-aircraft guns (eight-barrel rapid-fire turret)
9 bow torpedo tubes
4 quantum torpedo launchers
Aircraft: 12 Deathvatators
Hull structure
While most of Gatlantis’ ships have curved shapes, the Medalusa class is characterized by a straight, pointed hull shape. In addition to the flame cannon at the bottom of the ship, it is equipped with a wide range of artillery weapons in various sections, especially the bow cannon turret, which uses the fragmentation energy of the flame cannon, boasting a long range and high firepower. It also functions as an aircraft carrier and can operate 12 attack aircraft on the V-shaped flight deck at the upper rear of the ship.
Helbestia
The modified heavy battleship Helbestia is a land battleship built as a simplified version of the Medalusa class. The flame cannon and the teleporters are omitted, but the other artillery weapons are the same as the Medalusa class. Another major feature is that they are fully automated by AI control. There are two types, flagship type and normal type. The flagship of the Zabaibal Land Division stationed on the planet Telezart was equipped with a reflection satellite cannon.
Modified Medalusa class Heavy Battleship
Helbestia
A land battleship remodeled from a Medalusa class Annihilation-type heavy battleship
Gatlantis expanded its territory into space, using the energy it extracted from various regions to produce weapons. However, after the seven floating continents it had occupied were recaptured by the Earth/Garmillas combined fleet, it fell into a temporary energy shortage and was forced to change its shipbuilding plans. Therefore, a plan was put forward to simplify the structure of the Medalusa class Annihilation-type Heavy Battleship and convert it into a land battleship. This resulted in the birth of the modified Medalusa class Heavy Battleship Helbestia.
The Helbestia, a simplified version of the Medalusa, has been modified for land use, eliminating the flame direct hit cannon and teleporter that are a characteristic of the class. In addition, the bridge is equipped with an AI to allow for full automation, making it possible to engage in combat in cooperation with Needleslaves.
Some of these ships were deployed to the Zabaibal Land Division, which was tasked with defense of the planet Telezart. However, they were destroyed in combat with Yamato, which launched an invasion.
Performance Specifications
Length: 505m
Armament:
1 bow turret (five-barrel large-caliber armor-piercing turret)
3 main guns (eight-barrel rapid-fire turret)
2 secondary guns (two-barrel rapid-fire turret)
16 anti-aircraft guns (eight-barrel rapid-fire turret)
9 bow torpedo tubes
4 quantum torpedo launchers
12 aircraft
Many Needleslaves
* Only the flagship type is equipped with a reflection satellite cannon
Hull structure
The Medalusa class is equipped with a flame direct hit cannon in the center of the bottom of the ship, and an energy dumper (a buffer mechanism that deploys when the flame direct-hit cannon is fired) is located under the bow. They have been removed from the Helbestia, and the shape is integrated into the hull. The teleporter (equipped on the upper bow) that casts the energy of the flame cannon into space was also omitted, but the rest of the hull structure and artillery weapons were reused from the original ship.
Bridge
The bridge of the Helbestia was remodeled with the introduction of AI, and the operator console and control equipment for the flame cannon were removed. As a result, the interior space has a simple layout with only a spherical AI in the center, and the structure is the same as the flagship model that operates the reflection satellite cannon (Helbestia cannon). The reflection satellite cannon was replicated by Garmillas science slaves, and the beam relay system is exactly the same as that of Garmillas.
Naska class Strike-type Space Carrier
A flagship aircraft carrier combining superior aircraft operation capability and offensive power
The Naska class serves as the flagship aircraft carrier that forms the core of the Gatlantis task force. It is a battleship that can carry and operate up to 24 aircraft, has high offensive power due to its comprehensive artillery weaponry, and has performance worthy of a ship with the classification “strike-type.”
In the vanguard strike group, which is the spearhead of an invasion, the Naska class is a key force alongside the Medalusa class Annihilation-type Heavy Battleship, deploying firepower from inside a defensive formation. A considerable number of them was deployed in the fleet that invaded Telezart and the vanguard strike group that occupied the 8th floating continent of Garmillas. Even before that, a ship of the same type, the Kiska, was spotted by Yamato on its return from Iscandar.
However, the establishment of human weapons technology following the discovery of the planet Telezart, and the resulting proliferation of the Gaizengan Weapons Group, renewed the organization and weapon system of Gatlantis. As a result, the role of the Naska class shifted from the main force of the fleet to an auxiliary force.
Performance Specifications
Type: strike-type space carrier
Length: 334m
Armament:
3 main turrets (8-barrel rapid-fire turrets)
2 secondary turrets (2-barrel rapid-fire turrets)
18 anti-aircraft turrets (8-barrel rapid-fire turrets)
8 missile launchers
2 torpedo launchers
Aircraft: 24 crustacean attack aircraft Deathvatators
Hull structure
The Naska class has a long and slender hull with aircraft operating facilities located on the top. The upper surface of the superstructure is the flight deck section, with an open-air flight deck running from front to back through the center. Storage sections are located on both sides. Aircraft are transported using two elevators on each side and launched one after the other. In addition, there is an elevator for large aircraft at the rear center of the flight deck, making it possible to launch and land aircraft larger than the Deathvatator.
Armament/gimmicks
One of the features of the Naska class is its heavy armament, which is unusual for an aircraft carrier. It is equipped with many of Gatlantis’ characteristic artillery weapons, including twin turret guns. Most of them are concentrated in the superstructure of the hull, with the main gun turrets, secondary gun turrets, and anti-aircraft gun turrets arranged symmetrically on the upper and lower sides of the flight deck section. (There is one less main gun turret on the upper starboard side due to the bridge.) In addition, a missile launcher is installed at the front, giving it excellent firepower as a combat ship.
Gaizengan Weapons Group
Apocalyx class Spacecraft Carrier Baruze
Created by the Gaizengan Weapons Group, this large spacecraft carrier is over 1200m long, which gives it the capability of a mobile bridgehead. It was newly built in time for Gatlantis’ invasion of Earth. The symmetrical hull of the ship contains a flight deck and a hangar, and it can carry about 600 Deathvatators.
During the Battle of Saturn, Commander Baruze was on board, and 80 giant Eater I fightercraft were loaded onto the deck. The upper and lower decks rotate, and the aircraft are deployed by centrifugal force.
The armament is concentrated on the upper and lower surfaces of the ship, and in addition to the main guns and anti-aircraft guns, they are equipped with drum-type beam launchers (which can also be converted to depth charge projection mode). The bow also has a large beam cannon to crush obstacles ahead and open a route.
Performance Specifications
Type: spacecraft carrier/mobile bridgehead

Crustacean Attack Aircraft Deathvatator
Gatlantis’s main aircraft with high attack power
The crustacean attack aircraft Deathvatator can be used both in and outside an atmosphere and is Gatlantis’ main carrier aircraft. It is characterized by the abundant armaments attached to each part, taking advantage of the volume offered by its unique shape, and has high attack power. It is also a multi-role aircraft that can handle both air and ground attacks, and it is possible to carry out a variety of operations with one model. In addition, it can transport two small autonomous Needleslaves and function as a mother aircraft for anti-personnel sweeps.
Deathvatators are deployed in large numbers on all fronts as carrier aircraft for each Gatlantis ship. Their main use is close combat in fleet battles, but it is also frequently used for invasions of planetary surfaces where it is difficult to deploy large ships. In the invasion of the planet Telezart, the tactic adopted was for ships to enter the atmosphere and then launch ground attacks, after which a squadron would drop Needleslaves to sweep the area. The machine’s strength is its ability to respond to such diverse operations.
Performance Specifications
Length: 16.2m
Armament:
1 beam machine gun turret (rapid-fire rotary gun turret)
8 forward machine guns
6 air-to-air missiles
1 large anti-ship missile
Crew: 3
Fuselage structure
The ship is characterized by its curved and flat fuselage structure, and is called a “horseshoe crab” by the Earth side due to its shape. Its armament consists of one rotating beam machine gun (rapid-fire cylinder turret) in the center of the top of the fuselage, eight fixed machine guns at the front, and six air-to-air missiles and a large anti-ship missile on the underside. Three crew members are required: a pilot, co-pilot, and torpedo bomber.
Operating vessel
The most typical operating vessel for the Deathvatator is the Naska class Strike-type Space Carrier, capable of carrying and operating 24 aircraft. The Medalusa class Annihilation-type Heavy Battleship can also carry 12 aircraft, but the Gaizengan Weapons Group’s Apocalyx class space carrier (Baruze) carries an extraordinary number, about 600 aircraft. The operation of this aircraft expanded explosively.
The jet-black attack aircraft that plunged Earth into despair
The Deathvatator is the main attack aircraft of Gatlantis. Versatile enough to handle a variety of missions from air-to-air combat to ground attacks, it was widely used as a carrier-based aircraft for the Naska class Strike-type Space Carrier and the Medalusa class Annihilation-type Heavy Battleship.
After the proliferation of the Gaizengan Weapons Group, which transforms clones into weapons, the role of anti-ship attack was often handed over to the Eater I, a type of self-destruct attack ship. However, the importance of the Deathvatator, the only carrier-based aircraft of Gatlantis, is high, and it continues to be used in parallel with the Gaizengan Weapons Group.
The Deathvatator depicted here is an aircraft used in the final stages of Gatlantis’s operation, and is characterized by its black coloring. It was used as a carrier aircraft for the Gaizengan Weapon Group and Apocalyx class Space Carrier, and was deployed to suppress Earth during the invasion of the solar system. Apart from its color, it is believed that there is no difference from a standard Deathvatator, but its jet-black silhouette brought despair to the people of Earth.
Performance Specifications
Length: 16.2m
Armament:
1 beam machine gun turret (rapid-fire rotary gun turret)
8 forward machine guns
6 air-to-air missiles
1 large anti-ship missile
Crew: 3
Fuselage structure
The Deathvatator features a unique structure with a semicircular front body connected to a tail-like aft protrusion. It is equipped with two propulsion units, one inside the front section (at the rear) and the other at the base of the rear protrusion, and is capable of flight both in and outside an atmosphere. The cockpit is located in the center of the front of the fuselage, and this version is covered in an orange canopy.
Armament
The armament of this version is the same as the standard one, with eight machine guns at the front of the fuselage, one beam machine gun turret on the top, six air-to-air missiles that can be mounted on the bottom of the fuselage, and one large anti-ship missile. The beam machine gun (rapid-fire turret), which is the main armament, is an excellent weapon that can fire at two to three targets simultaneously.
Gaizengan Weapons Group
Self-destructing Attack Ship Eater I
Gatlantis’ suicide weapon that breaks through a Wave Barrier
As Gatlantis began its invasion of the Solar System, it had to contend with the Wave Barriers of the Earth Force’s Wave Engine-equipped ships. The self-destruct attack ship Eater I was one of the Gaizengan weapons developed to break through that strong defense.
It is one of the smaller Gatlantis warships, and the majority of its uniquely shaped hull is made up of a Wave Barrier neutralization system and a monomolecular cutting ram. This function allows the ship to break through a Wave Barrier, making it a suicide weapon that can ram into enemy ships and take them down, demonstrating Gatlantis’ tactical philosophy of crushing the enemy with sheer numbers, without hesitating to expend combat power.
It was first deployed in combat in the Battle of Mars, where it was launched from the Gaizengan Weapons Group’s Apocalyx class Space Carrier Baruze. It demonstrated its capabilities by dealing a heavy blow to Wave Engine-equipped ships organized in the Enceladus garrison of the Earth Federation Defense Forces. It continued to torment Earth ships in the Battle of Mars Absolute Defense Zone and the defense of the Comet City Empire.
Performance Specifications
Length: 135m
Armament:
Wave Barrier neutralization system
Monomolecular cutting ram
2 main gun turrets
Hull structure
The Eater I is characterized by a flat, sword-like hull structure. The front part of the blade is a monomolecular cutting ram made up of multiple diamond frames. The rear part of the hull, which corresponds to a handle, is mostly made up of propulsion engines. An autonomous center equipped with optical seekers is located above and below. In addition, one main rapid-fire gun turret is mounted on each side at the base of the monomolecular cutting ram. It is assumed that this gun will fire randomly after ramming an enemy ship.
Manned variant
Developed by the Gaizengan weapon group, Eater I was created by transforming Gatlantis clone soldiers into the weapon itself. It can basically be operated unmanned, but in the defense of the Comet City Empire, Razera was on board and operated it directly to counter a system-jack from Yamato, which was directed by Katsuragi Touko (a copy of Sabera). The hull color of the Razera ship was changed to red.
Needleslave
Gatlantis’s autonomous weapon mainly used for anti-personnel sweeps
Gatlantis has no intention of conquering other civilizations, and almost without exception, the targets of its invasion are eradicated. (Although, in rare cases, the invaded planets are incorporated into the Comet City Empire). The weapon deployed in this war of extermination is the Needleslave. It is a small autonomous device operated by Gatlantis, a copy of the Garmillas mechanized soldiers known on Earth as “Garmilloids.” Based on designs absorbed from captured Garmillas engineers (science slaves), it was designed to transform into ground combat and flight forms.
Originally, multiple units were linked together to form a protective shield made of beam-reflecting armor, and were intended to support other ground weapons and space ships. However, by utilizing its autonomous action function, it became an anti-personnel and anti-materiel attack weapon, evolving into Gatlantis’ main force in ground battles.
In the battle against Earth, this unit was deployed in various battlefields, such as the invasion of the 11th planet and the defense of the planet Telezart.
