Message from the Producer
Nishizaki Yoshinobu

The backbone of the first work, Space Battleship Yamato, was an unwavering love for humanity and a belief in its future. However, after defeating the formidable Gamilas Empire, a question arose in the protagonist Kodai’s heart: “Shouldn’t we have avoided fighting?”

This is the budding of what could be called “love for the enemy” or “love for the universe.” This becomes the theme of the second work. However, Kodai must fight against those who obstruct the peace and love of the universe. He will not back down from the even more severe trials that lie ahead, and will continue to face them head on.
