Does Dezarium exist in a universe where the flow of time is reversed?

See the original post here

I’m busy working on my day off today, so I’ll make this quick.

Major Alphon said that the wave engine cannot overcome the space-time node. This means that Dezarium is technologically superior to Earth and the Garmillan Empire. However, Dezarium cannot create a Cosmo Reverse, so it tried to capture Iscandar, which means that it does not have the technological capabilities to match it.

So the story might go something like this: Sasha’s memories of Iscandar reveal the blueprints for an engine that can overcome space-time nodes, and then they manufacture it.

Also, I talked a little last time about how the Dezarium people know what Earth will be like 1000 years in the future last time, and I’ll go into more detail this time. I think Dezarium probably exists in another universe, and time in that universe might flow in the opposite direction to Earth. In other words, while time flows “→” on Earth, it flows “←” on Dezarium. So if you come to Earth 1000 years ago in Dezarium time, that is Earth 1000 years in the future.

If you look at this from Earth’s perspective, if you go to Dezarium in 2207 you can reach the current Dezarium, but if you go to Dezarium in 3207 you will reach the Dezarium from 1000 years ago. This is the idea of the “mirror universe,” a theory proposed in astrophysics.

Reasons why the mirror universe is thought to exist
• It can maintain CPT symmetry
• It may be possible to solve the mystery of antimatter
• It may explain the accelerating expansion of the universe

The detection of high-energy neutrinos moving in the opposite of the normal direction is said to be indirect evidence of the existence of a mirror universe. Well, according to this theory, the mirror universe would be made of antimatter. So if the Dezarium army descended to Earth, they would be annihilated, but it may be a way to make use of the concept that the flow of time is reversed.

I think this is quite possible. I’m running out of time this week, so I’ll end it here. See you next week!

Considering why Dezarium won’t take over Earth by force

See the original post here

For those who are reading my blog for the first time, I’ll start by reviewing what I’ve said so far.

First of all, I don’t think the Dezarium people are Earthlings from the future. As far as I can see online, there are theories that the Dezarium people are Earthlings from a parallel world who continued to use the Time Fault, and that they are survivors of the Martian government who escaped from Mars during the civil war.

I was in elementary school when I watched the original Be Forever Yamato, and I was astonished at the underhandedness of the aliens who tried to defeat Earth by claiming to be Earthlings from the future. That’s why I thought that this time they really would be Earthlings from the future.

However, if they were Earthlings from a parallel world who continued to use the Time Fault, or survivors of the Martian government who escaped from Mars during the civil war, I thought that the story would go more smoothly if they had given a specific explanation in Chapter 2. Taking that into consideration, I also thought that they might be aliens this time.

So why do they know the future of Earth? I think that Dezarium exists in another universe that has the opposite flow of time from ours. In other words, 1000 years in the future on Earth is 1000 years ago for Dezarium. I’ve been thinking about the meaning of “3199” in the title. Earth gained warp technology in 2199, marking its first foray outside the solar system. Could it be that in that memorable year 1000 years later, Earthlings first advanced into another universe?

Could it be that Earthlings made contact with Dezarium in 3199, and conveyed information about Earth and Wave-Motion Gun technology? Dezarium used its Wave-Motion Gun in another universe to expand the fires of war, and as a result the other universe was corroded by the side effects, and the Dezarium people’s bodies could no longer withstand it.

Could it be that the Dezarium people sought out Iscandar at that point and tried to obtain the Cosmo Reverse in order to reclaim their original universe?

Dezarium has advanced technologically 1000 years after the transfer of technology from Earth in 3199, while humans only have technology from 1000 years ago, so they probably thought it would be easy to conquer Earth. This is why Dezarium knows the future of Earth.

As a Plan B after failing to obtain the Cosmo Reverse, Dezarium plans to initialize the brains of Earthlings using the Grand Reverse, write the memories of Dezarium people into them, use them to occupy Earth, and make it the new Dezarium home planet. The reason why they don’t launch a military invasion from the beginning is probably because they want to capture Sasha, a descendant of Iscandar, without killing her and without harming her body.

Yamato is expected to take Sasha on board and head to the Dezarium home planet via the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. If Dezarium quickly detonates the Grand Reverse and initializes the brains of the Earthlings, they should be able to starve the isolated and helpless Yamato. However, as mentioned above, since capturing Sasha is the first goal, they probably won’t detonate the Grand Reverse and make Yamato give up.

I don’t know if I’m right, but that’s my guess. The release of Chapter 3 is on April 12th, so it’ll be a while before we find out the answer. I don’t have enough blog material to last that long…

[Translator’s note: it’s still up for discussion whether the correct translation for “グランドリバース” is Grand Reverse or Grand Rebirth. Each choice has its own connotations.]

REBEL 3199 Chapter 3 Trailer Review

See the original post here

I’ve been running out of ideas lately, so I’m glad to see a trailer.

First of all, the concept that Alphon has many bodies and can send his consciousness to any of them was well done. This means that he can interact with Yuki on Earth while also confronting Kodai who is far away. This is a good way to have them face off against each other as rivals.

By the way, Yamato looked like it was firing its main guns from inside a building to attack the Dezarium forces on Earth, but how did it get to Earth and hide inside a building? I thought Yamato was heading to the Dezarium home planet, but will it return to Earth?

[Translator’s note: the ship in question is meant to be Arizona, not Yamato.]

Yamato was fighting the Dezarium fleet and the Grodez, so it will probably fight Ranbel, who is in pursuit. It will probably destroy normal Dezarium ships easily, but it looks like Sanada will find the Grodez using a subspace radar and then hoist it up to normal space with a rocket anchor.

However, since the Grodez is treated as a rival ship to Yamato, I don’t think it will be sunk here and will appear in the battle at the Dezarium home planet in Chapter 7.

Also, Sada adds a nice touch to 3199. In 2202, Sabera wasn’t a frivolous character like in Yamato 2, but was made into a mysterious and cool female enemy character. If the 2202 Sabera was as foolish as the Yamato 2 Sabera, it would call into question the judgment of Emperor Zordar, who appointed such a person to a high position.

The conflict of fighting against future Earthlings is expressed through the confrontation between the Nanbu father and son. As I’ve written before, I don’t think the Dezarium people are from the future, so I think Kozo was deceived by them. I think that in the end, Kozo will realize his mistake along the way, risk his life to steal Dezarium’s secrets, and die.

I hope that Kozo and Shinobu, who blindly believe what the aliens say and sacrifice Earthlings, will be arrested by Earthlings and executed for inciting foreign aggression once they have defeated Dezarium.

There are almost two months to go until the release of Chapter 3, so I can’t wait. It’s still cold even though it’s mid-February, so I wish spring would come soon.

About Susumu Kodai

See the original post here

I’m running out of material, so I’ll write about the characters up until Chapter 3. This is the first time I’ve done a project like this, so I’ll write about my impressions of the entire series.

First of all, Kodai is a bit of a shadow. In the old series, especially the original, Kodai had a mad dog-like personality, trying to kill the Gamilas prisoner. Even though it was the Showa era, I think it was the worst thing a soldier could do.

After the battle on the Gamilas home planet, he found out that the Gamilas were also desperate to survive, and he cried. At Iscandar, he was able to see off his brother Mamoru, who he loved so much, with a smile. I think Yamato was the story of Kodai’s growth.

I understand that this kind of personality isn’t suited to today’s anime, but even taking that into account, he’s too quiet and has no presence. In 3199, the “conflict between the future and the present” structure has been taken over by the Nanbu family, and lots of new characters were introduced, so inevitably Kodai’s scenes were shorter and he had fewer moments to shine.

I understand that the staff creating the remake want to add their own flavor, but I think it would be better if the main character, Kodai, had a few more moments to shine.

Also, in 2199, Desler tried to destroy the Gamilas home planet and Yamato saved it, so it became unclear what their relationship was. In the original Yamato 2, Dessler realized that Kodai was also trying to protect the Earth and they reconciled, but in 2202 I don’t really understand why they reconciled. Well, it’s not the fault of the 2202 staff, but the 2199 staff made too many changes, so they were at their wit’s end and had no choice but to make it that way.

However, in 3199, there will likely be a scene where Kodai goes head to head with Major Alphon, so I hope he’ll show off his heroic side there. However, Major Alphon is so versatile and impactful in 3199 that I can’t help but think Kodai might be overshadowed.

In any case, Kodai’s impression is too weak through Chapter 2, so I hope he’ll show great things from Chapter 3 onward.
