Abelt Dessler
Voice: Koichi Yamadera
Galman-Garmillas Nation President
Date of birth: March 19, 2166. Pisces (Earth calendar). 41 years old.
“Just after I find something lost, its owner appears. In this vast universe…the odds are vanishingly small.”
Head of state and president of the new nation “Galman-Garmillas” formed by the Garmillas and Galmans.
Two years have passed since the capture of Planet Galman from the Bolar Federation. During this time, Planet Galman has been exposed to counterattacks from the Bolar fleet. Dessler has gathered all of the Garmillan forces remaining in space on Planet Galman and lays out an impenetrable formation, but the difference in military strength between him and the super-giant federal nation of Bolar is clear, and he has been struggling day after day.
One day, a “lost item” is delivered to Dessler. It is…
Chapter 3 update:
Estimated age when grown up: 17 years old.
“Yamato is coming… Uncle…!”
A memento of Queen Starsha and Mamoru Kodai. For Susumu Kodai, the only blood relative he has left. In order to protect her from Dezarium, she was hidden on the asteroid Icarus by Sanada, Yamanami, and others, and raised with care as the Earthling “Sanada Mio.” Regardless of her special origins, she grew up as a kind and obedient girl, but when Alphon invaded Yamato, she was abducted along with Kaoru Niimi and her whereabouts became unknown. However, two weeks after her abduction, Sasha is found protected by Dessler in the Galman system. She has grown up to be a beautiful young woman…
Fomto Berger
Voice: Junichi Suwabe
Captain of the Gaipellon-class Multi-deck Space Carrier Lambea
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Age: Approximately 35 years old
“An escape pod with a design no one’s ever seen…but it’s transmitting an Earth SOS signal.”
A true Garmillan soldier with many military achievements. After the battle with the Dezarium forces that destroyed his home planet, he returned to the planet Galman with Abelt Dessler. Since then, he has worked to defend the new land. However, the Bolar Federation, which had taken the planet Galman, launched a fierce counterattack, and Berger led his elite troops on an expedition to the center of the galaxy. He carried out a plan to thwart the Bolar fleet heading for the planet Galman. During this battle, Berger came across a “rescue capsule that emits an Earth-style distress signal” and had it retrieved, but…
Yuri Dagon
Voice: Susumu Akagi
Captain of the special first-class aerospace combat carrier Deusula III

“The Garmillas will never lose to anyone again!”
A veteran officer who supported Admiral Gul Deitz for a long time. His pride as a Garmillan soldier and his commitment to military success are outstanding. When the planet Garmillas was destroyed, he served as the captain of an aircraft carrier belonging to the Deitz fleet in the defense of the planet Galman.
He is currently the captain of Deusula III, the flagship of the guerrilla fleet, and is thrilled with the honor of being entrusted with the former “President’s ship.”
Kil Keeling
Voice: Takahiro Mizushima
Commander of the Home Planet Defense Fleet
Rank: Special Duty Colonel
Age: Approximately 27 years old
“I will guide you to the holy city of Luda.”
Descendant of the priest family that ruled the planet Galman for thousands of years. Born and raised under the oppression of the Bolar Federation. He has a strong respect for Abelt Dessler, who led the planet Galman to liberation, and joined the defense forces of the new nation, Galman-Garmillas, with his family. Dessler believes that “the greatest challenge for the new nation is the reconciliation of the Galmans and Garmillans,” and has given Kil, the young flag-bearer of the Galmans, a position and responsibility. Kil is now quietly burning with passion to live up to the expectations of the President.
Translator’s note: a “special duty colonel” typically refers to a colonel assigned to a position that requires unique skills or expertise, or that is not part of the regular chain of command. These assignments often involve staff roles, advisory positions, or leading specific programs or initiatives that don’t directly involve commanding troops.
Wolf Frakken
Voice: Akimitsu Takase (recast)
Commander of the UX Fleet, a submarine strike group
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Age: Equivalent to 41 years old
“It’s time for us to stop clinging to the past. We’re not old enough for the past to see us through the rest of our days.”
An expert in subspace combat, he is a cunning tactician who never loses his cool. After the end of the Gatlantis War, he lead the dimensional submarine fleet and joined Abelt Dessler. Since then, he has supported Dessler.
He lost many of his subordinates, including his lieutenant Hainey, in the battle with the Autoplanet Goruba, but he keeps the pain deep in his heart and works hard to defend the planet Galman. As captain of the Zelandar, the flagship of the dimensional submarine fleet newly organized for “strategic attack,” his responsibilities within the military are growing.
Sukeji Yabu/Skelge Yaav

Yabu has carved out a second life for himself as a Zaltsian named Yaav. He is now a citizen of the new nation of Galman-Garmillas, and is fighting to protect his beloved “family” and enrich the planet Galman. Yabu is still a member of the “Frakken family,” and is demonstrating his skills on the dimensional attack submarine Zelandar.
Translator’s note: “Frakken Family” might be “House of Frakken.”
Irii Poget
Voice: Aoki Shiki
Garmillan living on Earth
Age: Approximately 11 years old
A Garmillan girl born on Planet Eleven at the end of the Garmillan War.
At the age of 4, she lost her family in an attack by Gatlantis, but was saved by Yamato, who rushed to the scene. She was then transported to Earth and held in an isolation facility on the moon. Now that the Gatlantis War has ended and the suspicion of being a revenant has been dispelled, she has obtained the right to live on Earth and lives as a boarding student at the “Garmillan Interstellar School” in the new capital. She still hasn’t forgotten her gratitude for Space Battleship Yamato.
Arizona-class space battleship Arizona
The construction plan for Arizona originated from the Earth evacuation plan formulated by the United Nations at the end of the Garmillas War.
In the late 2190s, the contamination of Earth caused by Garmillan planetary bombs spread, threatening the living space of humans who had taken refuge in underground cities. There was a limit to the expansion of underground cities, and humans were forced to leave Earth in order to survive. The United Nations ordered each administrative district to build emigration ships, and in the Far East District, the design of the ship that would later become Yamato progressed under the “Izumo Plan.” The Far East District, which suffered less damage than the other districts, completed the construction of the inner shell relatively smoothly. Eventually, when information about the Wave-Motion Engine and Cosmo Reverse System was brought to them by Iscandar’s emissary Yurisha, the “Izumo Plan” was integrated and converted into the “Yamato Plan.”
This was because while the emigration ships of the other districts were incomplete, only the Far East ship was at a stage where it could withstand the installation of the Wave-Motion Engine. As a result, supplies and personnel were concentrated on Yamato, and ship construction was halted in the North American District, even though the inner hull was almost complete.
After the war, the emigration ships were temporarily abandoned due to the use of the Time Fault, but with the formulation of the Fourth Defense Plan and the abandonment of the Time Fault, opposition to new battleships such as the Andromeda class grew, and the repurposing of old emigration ships was reconsidered as an alternative.
One of the ships whose construction was resumed under this plan was the emigration ship of the North American District, and it was given the name Arizona when the construction plan for it as a space battleship was drawn up. At this time, some of the basic design was changed, but the initial design concept remains as a characteristic of the ship.
In addition, the fact that Yamato was originally designed and built as an emigration ship, and the inner hull part, which was envisioned as a residential block, was very sturdy, was also one of the reasons for the reevaluation of the heritage of this era.
Arizona, whose construction was resumed, developed the inner hull and outer hull structure adopted in the Yamato type into a modular structure. The four outer hulls surround the inner hull, with the upper hull housing the deck armament and bridge tower, the lower hull forming the bottom of the ship, and the left and right hulls forming the sides housing the secondary guns. As a result, Arizona is envisioned as capable of retrofitting with new technology by changing modules when a new generation of ships is built.
The construction of Arizona was carried out at the North American Space Naval Shipyards up until the pre-outfitting stage, and it was then transported to the new capital for trial operation. In the new capital, outfitting work is taking place at the Nanbu Heavy Industries shipyard.
Type 99 Space Combat Attack Aircraft Cosmo Falcon
A local fighter plane for the absolute defense of Earth, which became the standard in 2199 at the end of the Garmillas War. It was developed and mass-produced by the United Nations Ground Forces, Far East Space Combat Group, and the Space Technical Arsenal, but since it is equipped with a composite flow type cosmo engine (Ryusei Type 35) and can operate both inside and outside the atmosphere, it was adopted as a carrier-based aircraft by the United Nations Space Navy and also used for air defense missions on the moon.
It is known for being used as a carrier-based aircraft for the Space Battleship Yamato on its journey to and from Iscandar due to a delay in the mass production of Cosmo Zero (the carrier-based aircraft was a repurposed aircraft deployed to the United Nations Ground Forces). The performance of space planes that do not use wave engine technology is comparable between Garmillas and Earth, and the Cosmo Falcon achieved a certain level of success in anti-air combat.
After the Garmillas War ended, the Type 1 Space Combat Attack Aircraft Cosmo Tiger II was officially adopted as part of the Next Generation Main Carrier Tactical Fighter Attack Plan (CT Plan), which was devised as part of the “Wave-Motion Gun Fleet Concept.” Once the mass production system was in place, the Cosmo Falcon gave up its position as the main carrier-based aircraft.
After the Gatlantis War ended, the Cosmo Falcons were gradually replaced by the Cosmo Tiger II in other defense forces other than the Space Navy and were mothballed. The anti-Dezarium resistance obtained these aircraft and used them as a fighting force. For this reason, the unit insignia and aircraft number were removed.
Length: 15.9m
Width: 6.8m
Main engine: composite flow type cosmo engine (Ryusei 35 type)
Armament:
Machine gun x 2
Machine gun x 6
Air-to-air/air-to-ship missile x 8
Saucer Fighter Alctea
The combined military power of Earth and Garmillas encountered during the Iscandar transfer plan was a great inspiration to Dezarium’s weapon and tactical system. Having witnessed the technological accumulation of the past lost in the “Great Loss,” Dezarium actively tried to incorporate technologies that were not based on wave energy. The result was the Grodez-class annihilation battleship Grodez in battleships and the Alctea in fighter planes.
Due to its size as a fighter plane, the energy output of the Caterpillar raider fighter was low, and the level of phase conversion armor that could be used was by no means high. On the other hand, even though they did not have phase conversion armor, the fighters of both the Earth and Garmillas armies were able to fight on equal terms with the Caterpillars due to their high aerial combat performance. This led Dezarium to develop a new type of fighter plane that incorporated the characteristics of these fighters.
For example, a dog tooth (leading-edge extension) was installed in the center of the wings that spread out to the left and right in a disk shape, in anticipation of atmospheric air combat. Dog tooth improves stability during high-speed maneuvers and sudden maneuvers, but Dezarium, which was primarily accustomed to space battles and on their home planet where the environment had changed dramatically, considered this technology a relic of the past until it engaged in combat with a 23rd century spacecraft during the “Iscandar Transfer Plan.”
The cockpit is equipped with control devices on both sides of the seat. The aircraft’s movement is pressure-sensitive, controlled by the pilot’s hands, and the use of the onboard weapons is done with operation switches located around the device. The aircraft’s high maneuverability imposes complex G forces on the pilot, just like the Caterpillars, but it is a tolerable burden for Alphon and others who are Homo Dezarium.
The main weapon is an antenna-shaped small beam turret, just like the Caterpillars. It is an assault fighter designed for planetary domination. This aircraft is a two-seater, with a gunner inside the small beam turret. However, only Alphon’s command aircraft is a single-seater, with the small beam cannon operated from the cockpit. This is because Alphon has superior piloting abilities compared to ordinary soldiers, and it was determined that operating alone would produce better results.
Length: 17.0m (20.5m when pod is deployed)
Crew: 2 ordinary pilots, 1 Alphon pilot
Armament:
Small beam cannon x 1
12.7mm machine guns x 4
30mm machine guns x 2
Aerial bombs x 2
