The latest installment in the Space Battleship Yamato remake series REBEL 3199 began screening Chapter 4 Pale Blue Maiden (Sasha) on October 10, 2025. Consequently, it has been announced that the next installment, Chapter 5 The Incandescent Galactic War, will begin screening on February 20, 2026. Alongside this, a teaser visual drawn by Kia Asamiya and a teaser video have been released.

Does the “3199” in the title refer to a thousand years hence? What hidden connection exists between the enemy Dezarium and Earth? The shock revealed at the end of the previous installment continues to escalate. The drama also deepens significantly. The love between Yuki Mori, captured by the enemy officer Alphon, and Susumu Kodai, unable to escape his sense of guilt, faces the ordeal of separation. Furthermore, Sasha, the orphaned daughter of Starsha, becomes deeply involved. As every character acts with purpose, intense battles unfold, brimming with tension, and the meaning of these conflicts is questioned anew. What exactly does the keyword “REBEL” signify?

In Chapter 4, Yamato arrives at Galman, the new homeworld of the Garmillas. There, not only awaits Commander Dessler, but also Sasha, now grown to 17 years old. Kodai’s heart, experiencing an impossible reunion with the young girl he once lost, wavers between bewilderment and joy.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Mother Dezarium’s plan enters a new phase. Amidst the swirling intrigue of a social gathering, Yuki appears, dressed in a gown. What resolve does she harbor in her heart as she stands beside her enemy, Alphon? Meanwhile, the Ra-Jendora Fleet from the planet Berth, loyal to the Bolar Federation, invades the Galman System, drawing Yamato into the conflict between the two major powers. With a planet-destroying missile closing in, can Yamato save Galman and uncover the true identity of the “Witch of Uralia”?

With Chapter 4 underway, the next installment, The Incandescent Galactic War, has been announced for release starting February 20, 2026. Alongside this, a teaser visual drawn by Kia Asamiya, who handles the image art for this work, and a special trailer have been unveiled. The catchphrase “The ‘Unexpected’ Begins” and the trailer itself only heighten anticipation.

Additionally, the Movie Ticket Card for Chapter 5, included with a bonus poster featuring this teaser visual, is now on sale nationwide at theaters and online retailers. Be sure to check it out.
