Susumu Kodai fails to become captain again!!
Yamato III latest information!! Nationwide simultaneous release on August 2nd
I read a report recently that Yoshinobu Nishizaki is spending tens of millions of yen to search for the battleship Yamato, which lies at the bottom of the South Seas. Should we say that he has finally become blinded by illness, or is it all just a promotion for part III? If that’s the case, it’s a shocking story, but that’s not important.
Kodai-kun fails to become captain again. The new captain is a man named Yamanami. He has an even more samurai-like appearance than Hijikata. Details are unknown.
Next, Sasha, born to Mamoru and Starsha, appears to have reached 17 years old in just one year, which shocks the fans. It is explained that this is because Iscandar people grow very fast. I wonder if rapid growth will be the trend this year.
This Sasha looks just like Yuki, but well, it was said that the original Sasha looked like Yuki, and since she is the child of that Sasha’s older sister, it’s not surprising that they look alike. But won’t this make Kodai-kun even more confused?
Anyway, leaving that aside, Sasha appears as Sanada’s niece, but there is also Shiro Kato, the younger brother of Saburo Kato. And there is the son of Tokugawa. Nishizaki seems to be particularly obsessed with these kinship relationships, which is interesting.
Other notable mecha features include an anchor mark on bow above the Wave-Motion Gun, and three white lines (participation badges) on the main gun and other guns, indicating the three previous battles. Also, a space sensor is attached to the bulbous bow, the cannons are equipped with Wave-Motion depth charges, and the Wave-Motion Engine itself has been powered up, making continuous warps possible. It’s invincible, it’s invincible.
Oh, there’s another important thing. This time, Dessler will not be appearing!!
The staff consists of the familiar faces of Yoshinobu Nishizaki as executive producer, Leiji Matsumoto as director and general concepts, Toshio Masuda as director, and Hiroshi Miyagawa doing music. Produced by Office Academy, distributed by Toei Co., Ltd.
Finally, in the last year or two, there has been a lot of criticism of Yamato and it has been damaging. I’ll be honest, I once wrote an article titled “When Kodai-kun warps” in the November issue of last year, and I seriously believe that Yamato is a good movie.
[Click here to read the article referenced above]I won’t go too deep into this because it will bog me down, but I will state that I am anti-anti Yamato. See you on August 2nd.
