The cels along the top of these photos are from a scene that was animated for Yamato 2, but were cut from the episode. The scene was to take place after the ship lost its artificial gravity (due to star flies) and Saito floats into the first bridge. He tries to grab onto Yuki at her radar station, but she flips him away.
The cel showing Alphon and Yuki about to kiss was drawn for Be Forever as a bonus scene (not called for in the script), but it was cut from the film. This was revealed in the September 1980 issue of Animage with other cels from the scene. (See the article here.)
