The Earth Defense Forces were quickly sidelined once the Dark Nebula Empire invaded Earth in Be Forever, but they still had to be designed and merchandising followed. Many model kits were planned by Bandai, but few made it to market since there was no Be Forever TV series to extend the sales window. But fandom did what it does best, bringing neglected designs to life as garage kits.
