  1. Thanks for all the years you’ve put into this amazing resource. I’m glad I’ve been able to join you on this voyage from time to time in some small facility. Like I always say on my own various Yamato-related web pages, CosmoDNA is THE place for SB news, facts, archival material, new creative works…basically anything. Okita Kancho would be proud.

  2. Thank you! Two words that can not sum up how much gratitude we fans have for your 20 years of work. I should really say 20 years of service.

I did not know that you were the driving force behind getting us the videos and the original Star Blazers website. I think you did more for the fans than you realize here in the U.S.A. This site introduced us to the 2199, 2202, and now 2205 series, and kept us up to date. You also showed us where to buy this stuff (videos, art books, and models) and “how” to buy it new, so we did not have to buy to go through eBay. We have also got to see the creativity of the fans which is always fun to read.

May the next 20 years be just as great! Yamato salute.

  3. Thanks Tim been a fan for a while ( yes I have the full run of comics) and look forward till the 15th of each month. Yes its a gift and you keep on giving.

thank you for keeping my Yamato blood pumping.

    C-you next month!

  4. As one of the generation of newer fans who got her start with Space Battleship Yamato 2199, I cannot thank you enough for all the resources and information you bring to the English-speaking SBY community. Your commentaries, production info, and behind the scenes information on both the newer series and the older ones, were invaluable for slaking my thirst on anything and everything Yamato. Even beyond the website, your help with getting me certain scans of SBY materials was and still is appreciated heavily.

Thank you very much for all your hard work and here’s to more Yamato, forever!

  5. This site is truly AMAZING. It has everything you need to know about Space Battleship Yamato! From song lyrics, to diagrams, and even fan content. I can’t believe the amount of effort and passion you put in this website. Your passion for Yamato is still burning white and hot, just like when you first started the site. This site is a gift too. Thank you for your hard work.

Oh, and by the way, you’re raising that grandchild right!

  6. At 63, I’m an “old fan”, but I only stumbled across this site a year or so ago, but I can’t begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed it! Thanks for all you’ve done, and I’m glad you will continue to do it.

  7. I started following this site back in ’03 when it was still starblazers.com. I was all of 12 at the time and never could have imagined then what Yamato would come to mean for me. The contents of this site have contributed source material for nearly 1M words of fanfiction and numerous fanart pieces I’ve been posting since 2013.

20 years has flown by, and I’m thankful every day for all the work you and so many others have put into this site.

  8. I was thinking about this some more and … 20 years for a website is unheard of. I’ve been building websites since 1998 professionally and most websites just don’t live that long. It really is epic! At it’s deep and rich Yamato content, that makes it even sweeter. Definitely a huge milestone to celebrate! Thanks Tim 🙂

  9. Congratulations on the 20th anniversary. It’s an amazing site for fans of Space Battleship Yamato / Star Blazers. Thanks for all of your efforts in maintaining it.

  10. Congratulations on your 20th Anniversary! I love this site and the video you posted about your history with the series. I will always remember the first time I saw Star Blazers on TV. Well, actually, I heard most of it before I saw it. My school bus would not get me home in time to watch it. After seeing one episode during a day off from school (the Bee people one), I was hooked … there was just something about it. My brother, Pete, was in high school and he got home earlier than I did. He offered to tape record each episode for me (we didn’t have a VCR back then). So I heard all of the episodes from the first two series and saw some when I could. I eventually was able to see the episodes when the network switched to airing them in the morning before I had to get on the bus. Thank you for doing this site and maintaining this legacy.

  11. Happy 20 years, Tim! Glad to see you’re still enthusiastic about this whole thing!

Thanks so very VERY much for all you do, have done, and will continue to do in the future!

  12. Thanks so much for running this site! I watched Starblazers on tv in the 70s and been a fan ever since. I have got to say, when I saw this video message I got excited hoping the Argo press comics were coming back/continuing! I have the entire run and always hoped to see them get to final Yamato! I can keep the hope alive! Congratulations on outstanding work, always look forward to visiting this site!

  13. Congratulations on 20 years of dedicated research and publishing for the fandom. Space battleship Yamato/ star blazers was my first true anime I remember watching and still enjoy watching. Here’s to another 20 plus years of adventures.

  14. Like so many have said, truly appreciate your effort. I introduced all my kids to SBY, when they were young enough that I knew it would have a similar impact on them as it did to me at that age, and then the remake series came out and we all watched that together too. All four of my sons, three of which are now adults, still regularly check in on this site in anticipation of future releases and because the breadth and depth of the history is so fascinating to them. This is truly a multi-generational labor of love you’re continuing to curate here, and I hope you always know how much you are appreciated.
