Between The New Voyage and Be Forever Yamato, a large range of mecha was designed and animated for the Dark Nebula Empire, but Bandai made a grand total of three model kits. In subsequent decades, fans addressed this deficit with a very respectable lineup of garage kits. All known Dark Nebula models are presented here.

Bonus
From the Be Forever Yamato Roman Album (1981): Bandai’s prototypes for several model kits from the film. Only those boxed in red actually went into production.
Text near the bottom reads, “These models are wooden prototypes made by Bandai to make plamo.”

My deep thanks for this wonderfull website, with many nice pics.
Many of those models are not edited anymore (of course, after some decades…).
I hope the 3D printing can do something about it, and even allow a “rebirth”. I don’t find many Star Blazer ships, except the argo, as 3D printed model. Well I need this search going on…
Thank ou for your work, and see you again
Marc
I was wondering how tall the tripod is. Thanks!
