    1. I couldn’t find any direct ‘e-mail here’ instructions, and I have also considered that comments are not appreciated, but I figured I should just say my piece about how great I think this website is, and you if hate it, you can always remove it:

I was ‘just looking for a theme song’ (since the youtube version got pulled), how hard could that be? Well…after realizing how many tv shows / movies / special releases / etc. this series is comprised of; and that all of them seem to have multiple versions of every song used in the show…I felt like I wanted to be shot out of a cannon into the sun…Fortunately, your fantastic website helped me wrap my head around all this, and more or less pointed out exactly what I was looking for (it was “Uchuu Senkan Yamato” from Project Yamato 2199 (full version)).

Thank you so much for compiling all this information in such detail. I really appreciate it.

      • Comments are always appreciated. The best place to find versions of the theme song is our links page. You’ll find TONS of them there.

    2. Hi Tim!
I saw yours and Zack’s panel at Anime LA. I was smiling all the way through it!
Question for you: I want to get my friends into the Saga. What is the best viewing order to show them all the Series and Movies?
      Thank you for your time!
      YA-MA-TO

      • Glad you had a good time! The viewing order is laid out on the Cosmo DNA home page. It may be fun to watch the originals back to back with their remakes.

    3. I saw you in a video by Xandra Nova. I have been looking for a sweatshirt like the one you were wearing. Specifically the science officer, blue, uniform type. Where is the best place to buy one of those at? I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t find anything closer to that.

      • I bought it in Japan about ten years ago. They’re no longer being made. But something like it could appear again some time. You’ll need a Japanese friend to get one for you, though. If someone starts making them again, I’ll put it in a future monthly report.

        • Thank you for the quick reply. That would be great if you could do that. Hopefully they make a reappearance in the future.

    4. Hi, I’m a Youtube film critic who’s planning on doing a massive retrospective on the Yamato series, from the original Japanese version, to Star Blazers, to the movies, the live action film and finally, the recent remakes. I’ve been a fan of this website since becoming a fan of Yamato, and wanted to ask since I’m trying to do research and also making decisions: I’m gonna be covering the original Japanese Yamato series, and I wanted to import the original series from Japan and use fansubs in order to watch it on my PC as well as be able to rip legitimate footage legally for the video. I found a good offer for a used copy of the blu-ray, but also found a copy of the DVD which is cheaper. Now, since Japanese DVDs are region 2, I wanted to know if anyone of you could tell me whether or not the Japanese DVD release of Space Battleship Yamato is region 2 or region 3, as Japanese DVDs are still NTSC if they’re region 2. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can inform me about this, as I plan to make this the biggest video retrospective possible and give this wonderful franchise a huge spotlight for people to look at and discover since it means so much to me as I’m sure it does to many others. Greatly appreciated, Sebastian from Cinemageddon Reviews.

      • As someone who already made a documentary (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMJD_Zt1JNo), I wish you luck. This is an extremely complex and many-layered subject, and it will be easy to miss important details. I’m happy to volunteer my fact-checking services and advise you on where to find specific content on Cosmo DNA. Send me a DM via the Facebook page for direct contact.

All Japanese DVDs are region 2, just as all Japanese Blurays are region A.
